[Opinions] interesting birth announcement
http://www.growingfamily.com/webnursery/babypage_view.asp?URLID=5D5N5E1U6QThe baby's adorable, but I have no clue about her first name. But as she has grown, her smile has widened with a touch of fear and her glance has taken on depth. Now she is aware of some of the losses you incur by being here -- the extraordinary rent you have to pay as you stay.

SierrRain Concha? I think Sierra or Rain would have been fine but this making up a name out if two other perfectly good names seems rather ridiculous to me! Sierra Rain would have made a nice combo I'm not loving Concha very much, it seems to have rather a masculine sound to it. And her mum's name is Lesa!

In the future, put the name in your message; growingfamily's pages can load very slowly on dial-up (yes, it still exists, lol), and we want everyone to share in the horror of whatever name you want to share. ;)That said, about the name. Well. Concha's great for someone else, and I like Rain. SierrRain? Gross.Array

Yeowch! In documents where her name is capitalised, it's going to look daft as anything. 3 R's in a row: SIERRRAIN. And why does Concha make me think of something rude? Either it's similar to a slang word for women's parts, or I'm slowly losing my mind ... quite possibly the latter :-/ETA: OK, so I've warmed up to Concha having seen the hyperlink - especially the "seashell" meaning. Cute. But I still want to know what it reminds me of!_____________________________________________________________________Elinor

This isn't the reason Concha makes you think of something inappropriate, but it's why I do:I got a book on the history of manga once when I was in eighth grade or so. It was really interesting--traced the history of Japanese comics back to art from hundreds of years ago. But being a thirteen year old girl, the chapter that I found most interesting was the chapter about sex. They talked about the use of metaphorical language and images (things like flowers and waves crashing against the shores) in a lot of them. They showed some panels from some manga from, like, the 50s or 60s. Somewhere in there. Anyway, it was supposed to be some sort of sex contest, with a commentator, and when it came to the actual act, the commentator shouted "And the seal dives into the conch shell!" with an accompanying illustration showing just that. So since then, I've always associated with Concha and conch shells in general with the female anatomy. :DArray

Cooch? I'm guessing. I'm fond of Concetta, but Concha is definitely too similar to 'cooch' for me. And no, lol, you're not losing your mind. Or we both are together.
