The problem I have is Romulus is that it reminds me of the Romulans in Star Trek. Maybe as a middle name but it's to much for a first name IMO.
I do really like Remus and I have a Sim called Remus. I think Romulus Evander is the best combo or Romulus Caspian Isidore.
BTW I am reading a book by someone called Caspian at the moment.

I think it would be great for a dog and is good for a kid in theory (it is a cool name) but it is a bit too much to actually use IMO. Remus is pushing it already but at least it is slightly more mainstream due to HP than Romulus.
Btw my Aunt's best friend has two Great Danes named Romulus and Remus :p
