Brody is nice, but Brody Bent? I dont know about that. I think it does depend on the ln, and since mn's are rarely heard of these days, its not out of the question. But I wouldnt want to say my name (or son's name) is Brody Brent.
I do like the combo Ambrose Brent, at least, a lot better than Brody Brent. Even though Brody stands on its own, and Ambrose is great with no nn needed, if Ambrose is doable for you and the father, then I think Ambrose Brent "Brody" would be the best route to go. Otherwise, I hope you decide on a new fn if Brent is a must (even though I really do like Brody, I have dropped a lot of names due to them not fitting with my SO surname and the likes).
