Alrighty. At this time, we have a total of 36 players. I will accept more until the posting of Round 2. But you need to include the signup form and post it on the Round 1 message.

I've changed my mind a bit. I'll be judging this, but no pressure. Just for fun. ;D You'll be judged out of 10 points for each round on the following categories:
1. Names
2. Imagination
3. Description
4. Following Rules
5. Genetic Follow-Up
I'll post the scores on round two, which will be coming up...
by Friday at the most. Not to worry, should be out before then. I'll also post if you haven't done the previous rounds.
Round #1:
Congrats on your new family! You and your newly married SO have just gotten a new house. Describe where this house is and what it is like. Describe your SO and your jobs. Tell us a bit about your new life. You have also gotten a pet. This pets name should be the name of a famous Noble. (royalty)
But the biggest news of all is the birth of your first child(ren). What do they look like? Will they have their fathers brown eyes or their mothers blue eyes? It's all below. For the first round, you may name your children whatever you like. They should have at least one middle name. Talk about how your family felt having children. Have fun! Lot's of detail!!!!

I own an online boutique, so I work from home. It will be wonderful being able to be with the baby and still work! Reed is an eigth grade teacher at the local middle school.
Reed and I were recently married, a year ago on December fifth. We has a beautiful winter wedding in our church, with a breathtaking first snow of the year outside! We couldn't believe our luck. After the wedding we went to Spain for a few days.
We live in a fairly small town, our house is a nice, cozy one, painted blue. It isn't large, but we have a good amount of space to live. It has two bedrooms. Ours is a cream color, with a black-and-white theme that we like. The master bath is painted light pink (hooray!) with a pretty chandelier, a bath, a sink, and a counter. Adria's room is painted light green, with pink, yellow, blue and green floral crib bedding. Our kitchen is small but not cramped, it's painted yellow and has white furnishings and marble counter. The family/living room is light blue and has a white couch and chair with goldish blankets, picture frames, ect.
Adria, our baby, arrived to us on December 2, at 7:34 pm. She takes after her daddy with bright blue eyes, and to our shock, also her aunt Julia, Reed's sister, with bright red hair! She's beautiful and healthy, she weighed 8 lbs, oz and was 17.6 inches long at birth. She is a wonderful baby, we couldn't ask for anything more. We love our baby Adria!
We also recently got a new pet, an adorable tabby kitten, who we named Napolean. He gets feisty if you play with him, but he's gentle with the baby and we think it'll be great for Adria to grow up with an animal in the house.

Adria, our baby, arrived to us on December 2, at 7:34 pm. She takes after her daddy with bright blue eyes, and to our shock, also her aunt Julia, Reed's sister, with bright red hair! She's beautiful and healthy, she weighed 8 lbs, oz and was 17.6 inches long at birth. She is a wonderful baby, we couldn't ask for anything more. We love our baby Adria!
We also recently got a new pet, an adorable tabby kitten, who we named Napolean. He gets feisty if you play with him, but he's gentle with the baby and we think it'll be great for Adria to grow up with an animal in the house.

Brandon and I have recently moved into a 5 bedroomed house near where we were before. Brandon's Grandfather died and left us a lot of money, therefore making it possible to but this beautiful house. In my spare time, I love watching Brandon play football and I like to do my hair, so with a newborn daughter, Liliana Morgan, who in a couple of years will have a full head of hair, it's ideal!
Brandon and I love to take our new alsation, Henry, for a walk in the fields nearby. Hopefully, Lila will also love our walks together as the air is so fresh and there is lots to see.

Finally! After so many years of fertility treatments we finally conceived. We couldn't believe it! Then, when the Doctor told us there were 5 in there, we were even more in shock! We had to move from the city into a bigger house in the suburbs to fit all the new additions. We got a 4 bedroom house with a big backyard for the kids to play in. The house needed a little work, but Ulysses is good with the hammer, since he has been working in construction for several years, so he fixed it up real nice for us. Lucy had to quit her job as a secretary since they couldn't afford a baby sitter for 5 children. She is really enjoying being a stay at home mom.
The 5 babies all arrived a month early via c-section, 2 boys and 3 girls, and we couldn't be prouder parents. We decided to get a puppy to keep the kids busy with something to play with so Lucy can catch up on all the housework that comes with being a new mom. Ulysses decided to name the dog after a noble character in his favorite book "Lord of the Rings". We always wanted to have a large family, but didn't expect it to happen all at once! We are one BIG happy family!
We decided to name the boys after U.S. Presidents, like Ulysses's brothers and dad. The girls have French first names, in honor of Lucy's mother, and thier middle names after her favorite flowers.

Taylor and I have just moved into a house in Lynden, Washington. It's not a very big house - it's just a little rambler with two bedrooms, but it's our first house and we like it a lot. It's been a bit of a switch, living in Lynden. The town is fairly small, just over 9,000 people. We both came from a city of over 33,000, so it's definitely a lot slower than we're both used to.
We moved to Lynden because I was offered a job as the band director of the high school there; the old one just retired. I like working there a lot so far. The students are well-behaved (for the most part) and we have a lot of fun. Taylor is working in a nearby city as a computer programmer. He's doing pretty well at it, though I think he'd rather be doing something with video games, lol.
We got a cat not too long ago - well, a kitten, actually. One of our friend's cats had kittens and we agreed to take one in, becuase she really needed homes for them and Taylor knows I adore cats. She's an adorable little thing - she's mostly white with "odd-eyes" - one blue eye and one gold eye, but her ears are orange and she has a black splotch over her nose and right eye (which is her gold eye). I love her to death. We named her Esther after Queen Esther from the bible.
And of course, the biggest news of all - we have a little girl! She was born December 17th, at 9 pounds, 2 ounces. She was 24 inches long. She has beautiful strawberry blonde hair and pretty blue eyes, like her father. We named her Colette Antonia Marie; Taylor and I just really liked the name Colette, Antonia is after Anthony (which is both Taylor's middle name and my brother's middle name) and Marie is after my grandmother. She's a wonderfully sweet little girl, and she doesn't often keep me up TOO late, which is nice. Taylor's been very good about helping with taking care of her, too. She's our pride and joy, and we're delighted to have her!

Since they got married three weeks previously, Angus and Rosa have been living in Mr & Mrs Cabot's wine celler, but with Rosa just about ready to drop (and Mr Cabot giving them a dirty look ever time he went down to get a bottle of Riesling), they decide that perhaps it's time to move on.
They manage to find a large flat in Brighton, high up in a tower block near the sea. The tower block isn't exactly in a desirable location, but the views are amazing; the living room overlooks the sea and Brighton Pier, while the main bedroom offers views of the city as it slowly ascends to the horizon.
The flat has three bedrooms, a large-ish living-cum-dining room, a bathroom, a kitchen and a small boxroom where Angus can keep his lizards (Angus breeds lizards; it's an okay living, plus it means he can stay at home and look after children). Angus selects his favourite lizard, a leopard gecko called Rameses, as the family pet, and sets him up in a luxery tank in the living room.
After barely a day in their new flat, Rosa goes into labour. They rush to the hospital, although there really was no need; the labour lasted thirty-eight hours. After a lot of screaming, crying and vows of celibacy, Jaret Prospero is born. At twenty-one inches long, and weighing nine pounds and eight ounces, Jaret is a big lad. He has a shock of hair, dark brown with a reddish tint, a combination of both parents' colouring. His eyes are aqua, a gorgeous shade of sea-blue.
Angus' father, Alistair, is beside himself with joy, as Jaret is his first grandchild. Angus' mother disappeared from her son's life some ten years previous, and doesn't even know she has a daughter-in-law, never mind a grandson. Rosa's parents are pleased to see Jaret as well, but, already having thirteen other grandchildren, are not quite as hysterical as Alistair is.
Rosa has managed to find a job as an assistant midwife (she studied midwifery at university) in the maternity hospital nearby, and so Angus stays at home to care for Jaret while Rosa earns a crust.

Our new house is incredible, it's not really a large house, but it's very homely. It's painted white and blue and it's in a nice and quiet street where kids can play safely. We have a fairly big back yard with lots of trees.

Piet and I moved into our new house 6 months ago. We now live in a little village about half an hour from where Piet works in the south of England. It's an old Victorian house with 5 bedrooms, we use on of them as a storage, one as a laundry room, one as an office and one as a nursery. Yes, we have had a baby, a little girl called Harrietta Bramble Morgaine, but we call her Hattie for short. She was born on 15th June after a relativley short labour of five hours - or so we are said! To me it was long enough. She was quite a large baby, she weighed 10 lb 1 oz and was 19.8 inches long, but happy and smiley right from the start. Her smile looks like Piets, but she's got my hair and ears. Thank god she's so easy, I have enough to do as it is, for one thing the new house which still needs bits and pieces finished and also my job. I'm an opera singer, so I'm very happy to be able to practice when she is sleeping or even when she's awake, she must have got her musicality from me, she loves music!
It was a great surprise to us both when we found out I was pregnant, but very happy about it. She's been so good, and it's lovely to see how she grows day after day and how our families react to her. Tolly, Lies, Benoit and rika were very happy, as she's the first grand child on both sides. But not for long! Greetje is pregnant and Gerrit's wife Louise, after trying for so long, is pregnant after IV treatment with twins! We are all so happy.

Tolly, Lies, Benoit and rika were very happy, as she's the first grand child on both sides. But not for long! Greetje is pregnant and Gerrit's wife Louise, after trying for so long, is pregnant after IV treatment with twins! We are all so happy.

Wil plays Amateur Ice Hockey for a living, but does some home repair/maitenance on the side. I was working at a horseback riding stable, until I found out I was expecting a baby (you'll hear more about that later).
Wil and I have been married for just a year. About eight months ago, we moved from our two-bedroom apartment into a house of our own. Here is a photograph of our beautiful log cabin house:

It has three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. We love the seclusion and woods around the cabin. In addition to buying our first home, four months ago we adopted our first pet. He is a loveable fawn Greyhound whom we named Caspian. Below is a picture of Caspian. Before adopting Caspian, I was reading C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia books, where I got the name Caspian from. Caspian is named after Prince Caspian in one of C.S. Lewis' books.

And, the biggest news of all, we have a baby boy! We decided to name him Levi Alexander. Levi has always been one of my favorite names and Wil liked it too. As for Levi's middle name, it is tradition in Wil's family to give the firstborn son the middle name 'Alexander'. I believe the tradition reaches all the way back to Wil's 6th-great grandfather. I was surprised at just how big Levi was. He weighed a whopping 9 lb. 9 oz. and was 19.9 inches long. Right away I could tell that he had Wil's beautiful green eyes. About a week ago, Levi's hair started to grow, and now we can easily see that it is not quite brown and not quite blond. It's sort of in the middle.

Zac and I are married! We had a big party, despite the fact that I was four months pregnant. I had a beautiful dress. Our favorite wedding present was from Zac's parents: they gave us a little Welsh Springer Spaniel puppy named "Richard the Lionheart", who we nicknamed Leo.
Soon after that we moved to Brittany in France, near the house where I grew up in. It's a beautiful old house and the backyard faces the ocean. Zac enjoys working as a journalist for the local paper and I have already found a job as an English teacher at the school.
And then our son was born! Even though he has my chestnut hair, he has Zac's blue eyes and looks a lot like him. The boy was a big baby; he weighed 10 lb. 3 oz and was 25 inches long. We decided to name him after Zac's father Glen. He will go by his middle name Maxime. He is my parents third grandchild and they were overjoyed. He's already the sixth grandchild for Zac's parents, but they were just as excited. Of course, Zac and me love little Max and are very proud of him.

We've recently bought a new house, it's a two story house. It had three pretty big bedrooms, an awesome kitchen and a beautiful bathroom. It also has a medium sized garden in which we decided to have a duck! It's called Casimir, we named it after one of grandchildren of the (Dutch) queen. We're goign to put a pond in too.
We also got our first child! It's a sweet little baby boy. He was pretty small at birth, he was born two and a half weeks before the due date. We had some agruments over naming him, Taro kept insisting on giving him a Japanese first name, while I had wanted to name him either River or Rio. I gave in after finding the name Ryo, I thought it a was a good compromise. His middle names were a bit easier, we just couldn't settle on the order of those. They are Connor, after my father, and Takeru after his. After being unnamed for two days, he's now called Ryo Connor Takeru. He looks like a little Taro with my dad's eyes :)

Luca and I were already living together in a flat in London when we got engaged, so we didn't have to worry about finding a new place after we married. At least, that's what we thought. A month after the wedding, we found out we were going to be parents! Not long after that, the doctor informed us that we were, in fact, expecting twin boys. Obviously, our apartment wasn't going to be big enough, so we've recently moved to a two-bedroom flat. It's still in London, so the commute to our jobs isn't bad (Luca is a journalist, I'm an interior designer).
But for now, my job is on hold. Our little boys, Euan Vaughn and Rocco Gerard, arrived early this morning. They both weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and were 21 inches long. They weren't due for another few weeks, so it came as a bit of a shock to us when I went into labor. It was quite difficult coming up with names for them, as we wanted them to reflect our heritage, but now -- even though our sons are only a few hours old -- we can't imagine them as anything but Euan and Rocco.
The boys are the first grandchildren on either side, so obviously they've been getting a lot of attention. At first, my parents weren't thrilled to hear that we were expecting so soon after the wedding, but now they absolutely adore their grandsons and are asking us when they can babysit. But for now, Luca and I are just enjoying being parents to our wonderful little boys.

But for now, my job is on hold. Our little boys, Euan Vaughn and Rocco Gerard, arrived early this morning. They both weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and were 21 inches long. They weren't due for another few weeks, so it came as a bit of a shock to us when I went into labor. It was quite difficult coming up with names for them, as we wanted them to reflect our heritage, but now -- even though our sons are only a few hours old -- we can't imagine them as anything but Euan and Rocco.
The boys are the first grandchildren on either side, so obviously they've been getting a lot of attention. At first, my parents weren't thrilled to hear that we were expecting so soon after the wedding, but now they absolutely adore their grandsons and are asking us when they can babysit. But for now, Luca and I are just enjoying being parents to our wonderful little boys.

As soon as we moved into our new house, we found out that we were pregnant. He was born in April on a beautiful sunny morning. We named him William James. James is after his father, obviously. His nickname would be Billy, which I adore.
We also got us a new dog. We named him Harry.

After getting married and moving into our new home, John and I were thrilled to discover that we were expecting our first child! Baby Ariella Maria came into the world on January 14th, weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces; 19.7 inches long. We had fallen in love with the name Ariella early on, and knew that if our baby was a girl, there was no doubt, it'd be her name. Her middle name is my grandmother's name, and we thought it'd be fitting to honor her, since Ariella was born the day before her birthday. In her words, "what an incredible birthday present for great-grandma!" :-)
Ariella is the first grandchild on both sides of the family, so needless to say, she has gotten endless amounts of attention, not to mention, endless numbers of gifts. It seems that every time we turn around, someone else is coming to visit or bring her something...not that we mind :-) We're glad that everyone adores her, and she's quite the angelic little girl, with dark brown hair and gorgeous hazel eyes that seem to change color...from brown to green to blue, depending on the light and what she's wearing. With her gorgeous eyes, her sweet disposition, and her adorable personality, it's no wonder that everyone is in love with her.
Ariella is a relatively quiet little girl who is content with being held and rocked in the rocking chair. She seems to be becoming a mommy's girl, though she does have daddy wrapped around her little finger :-) And John wasn't at all disappointed with the arrival of a little girl. We're both thrilled to be parents!
