[Opinions] Sibset?
My sister-in-law is about 6 weeks away from giving birth to my fifth niece or nephew.
Sibs are Sophie Anne (6) and Harry John (4).
Any suggestions for new sib? Boy or Girl?
Please dont critique my niece's and nephew's names. Their names may be "boring" in your book, but in mine they are classy and traditional.
Anne is my mum's name and John is their other Grandpa's name.

Neither are my style.
I don't like wild names (and btw, there is only one person who likes the names you posted. That was rather pointed of you.), but I tend to prefer biblical names or more formal names. I would have prefered Sophia Anne and Henry John.
Keeping in mind their taste, I'd suggest:
Milo
James
Lucy
Lily
Something slightly cutesy, but classic. I think that Sophie, Harry, and Lucy or Sophie, Harry and Milo are adorable.

okay huh? what was rather pointed of me?
You're assuming everything.
First of all, you're acting as if everyone automatically is going to absolutely loathe the names Harry and Sophie as soon as they see them. That's a pretty strange assumption, considering those are two very legitimate names that are pretty widely liked among BtNers for the most part. I've never seen anyone on this site trash those names for being "boring".
Then, you say that everyone on this site likes names like Ignatius and Horatio. Once again, that's an assumption. And, once again, that's not true. I certainly don't find any attraction of neither Ignatius nor Horatio, but that doesn't mean they're not legitimate names.
Next time, you could try not to irresponsibly stereotype everyone on this site. It was unnessecary to assume that we'd all hate your neice and nephew's names, and then that we'd suggest names that you don't like. If you didn't want us to comment on your neice and nephew's names, you could have just left it at that.

Okay
1) The post was edited due to spelling errors and the fact i put "lol" in there. I know chatspeak isnt allowed, so i took it out and corrected the spelling error. Don't automatically assume things.
2) I believe the sentence you're all so up in arms about is "Well neither do i. Lots of people are more into names like Ignatius or Horatio and seem to think Harry and Sophie are dull." That is true. And as for me "assuming you'd all hate my neice and nephew's names" all i did was ask that you don't critique them, becuase i was asking for opinions on the unnamed and unborn baby. Sophie and Harry already have names.
3) I have been told, on this site before that their names are daull and boring.
4) I was not directly "targetting" anybody with my Ignatius and Horatio comment. I certainly apologise if anyone felt that way but it was entirely unintended. Horatio and Ignatius were the first two names that came to mind.

I believe she's referring to...
...A barb you made against people who prefer names like Ignatius and Horatio. Perhaps you made reference to other examples of untradtional, class-devoid names in your original post (which I see is edited) as well, but I wouldn't know.
Very sweet of you--because there's ever so many people who like Ignatius and Horatio here. I do so love being pointed out as a sterling example of bad taste (pray tell, since when are Horatio and Ignatius not traditional names, by the way?), and I especially enjoy having my opinions said for me (how kind of you to explicate that people like me think Harry and Sophie are dull, and so interesting that my actual opinion is rather different).
Does that answer your question, Lizzie Jay?
Array (channeling a bit of the Bartimaeus right now)

O come, Grateful Deadheads,
And camp in the street.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.
