[Facts] Re: Auden and Aniston
Auden is an English surname, a variation of Alden, which goes back to either the Anglo-Scandinavian name Healfdene or the Old English name Ealdwine, according to Reaney & Wilson's A Dictionary of English Surnames.Aniston is a modern American surname created by either the grandfather or father (reports vary) of the actress Jennifer Aniston as an "Americanization" of the Greek surname Anastassakis. It was a spelling alteration of Anniston, the name of a city in Alabama. That city was founded in the 19th century and named after a woman called Annie, so its meaning, if any, is "Annie's town."
