I'm not really that fond of initial nicknames personally, especially on girls, but I do think Theodore James "TJ" and Tristan Karl "TK" are very nice for a boy.

When I was nine I had a crush ona slightly older boy named D.J. I don't remember what his full name was, maybe David? But DJ is so strongly associated with deejays and rappers' stage names that I don't like it much.
