It's not at all dated. It's had almost the same popularity ranking for the past hundred years. I don't like it though, mostly because of it's meaning.

No, it's very pretty.Definitely not too matronly. Not dated, as far as I know. Personally I prefer Cecille, but Cecilia is nice. It's very graceful and reminds me of a ballroom dancer for some reason.

I've been in love with this name lately. It is neither dated nor matronly. It's just a great name, it's just as beautiful as something like Annabelle, but a lot stronger, I think.

Cecilia is beautiful andI think it is cross-generational and doesn't make me think of anything matronly. I prefer Celia or Cecile though.
