Sincere has been a popular name in the African-American community ever since it was the name of the chief character in the 1998 film Belly:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158493/Damaje is probably pronounced "da-MAYJ" or "da-MAH-jee". Utah was the first state where Jaden and Caden became generally popular. But these days, I would suspect most really large maternity wards in any large hospital in the western half of the United States that served a predominantly "Anglo" clientele would be just as likely to have as many boys born with Aidan-rhyming names.

I'm with you. Here's hoping. Roman & Kandel - I like Roman but that's pretty funny that there was a Kandel at the same hospital, lol. Do these people even realize they just named their child "Candle"? :-/

1. They aren't bad, I don't see any difference then any other word name. I love Honesty. :o)2) I actually like Caden, and Peyton 3) I don't see why someone can't use those names, just because celebs have.4) ew...5) I like Roman, and I like Candle6) I've posted this before

haha, I completely believe #21) actually, I think those two are cute... ^-^2) haha, I can totally believe that! I live in Utah, and 3/4 of my male friends are Hayden, Caden, Braden, Jayden, Aiden... etc. I was just thinking about that, that is SOOO true! lol!3) weird...4) well, it's obviously an ethnic name.5) weird. Kandal? Cute and *bizarre* at the same time.6) i think it's ethnic... i HOPE it's ethnic... Still it's a little weird

I wish . . .. . . that people would just post the *names* of these kids, instead of forcing us to open every single link to find out what they're talking about! The links take time to load, slow the computer down and clutter up the screen, and it's just not necessary. We don't need to see the baby to know that his or her name is funny.1) Honesty is no better or worse than any other virtue name.2) We *know* that these names are popular . . .3) We *know* that people follow celebrity trends . . .4) Yeah, that's pretty bad5) ...6) I think we've seen this one already. It's still painful though.

Personally I disagree with the above. With the links, one can discover some of the context regarding race and place of birth that helps one to interpret the possible reasons why the name was given.

Good point about posting the names and not just the links. I fixed that up. As to your other points:
- I realize Honesty is just a virtue name. What made it funny (to me) was the big brother/sister named Sincere. Just a little more interesting than the more common sibsets like Faith, Grace, & Hope.
- Of course we know the "aden" names are popular. There were just some new variations in there, and the sheer volume...where I live, that's unimaginable.
