The tomb of the Mahafaly king Tsiampody has the horns of 700 zebu on it. The aloalo are sculpted wooden posts set upright on the tomb, often depicting scenes from the person's life. The burial customs include waiting for the decomposition of the body before it is placed in the tomb.
