Help[Opinions] Twin question...
First of all I am NOT pregnant, just curious, lol. I wanted to know what you all think of giving twins the same middle name. I strongly dislike when people give their twins matching initials, but I think the same mn would be a nice connection between them. I have friends who are twins, Paris Marsha and Zoey Marsha. Although I am not fond of any of these names other than Zoey, I like the matching mn, which, BTW, is for their Grandmother, Marsha. WDYT?

I don't like the idea of giving twins the same middle name. Or the same initials, or rhymey kind of names, either, for that matter. Just like I don't like the idea of dressing twins the same. They are already so much alike, let them have something that is just theirs, their name!

I think that the middle names of twins would be nice is to name each one after there grandparents like if you had to girls use your mothers name and the babys fathers mothers name and vice versa

I really don't mind when twins have the same middle name. I also don't mind when they have the same initials or are slightly matchy (ie River and Willow - both nature names). I'm pretty open minded about multiple's names.

I think it really depends. I know actor Sean Astin all three of his daughters have their mothers middle name as their middle names.Alexandra Louise, Elizabeth Louise and Isabella Louis.

Repeating a name (or its variant) between siblings always strikes me as lacking imagination, at best. My only exception to this is if the repeated name is in honor of a family member.
Here, I think it's fine. Boring, but fine. A missed opportunity to use the other grandmother's name, but fine.

Personally, I think matching initials are perfectly fine, as long as the names themselves aren't too similar. Eleanor and Evander don't seem cheesy twinny to me, while Lucille and Lucinda (though both lovely names alone) as twins would grate on my nerves.
The same MN seems worse than matching initials, because it's a little stereotypically twinny to me. If i were to hear of a girl named Zoey Marsha who had a twin with the middle name Marsha, I'd automatically assume her first name was something rhymey like Chloe - whether honoring people or not, giving twins the same MN is just uncreative.

I think it's ok, even if it does look like the parents couldn't come up with another name. I would prefer them having a mn that has the same meaning/origin/honour somebody (eg one mn honours one grandmother and the other the other).

I don't mind matching initials, but giving them the same middle name seems dumb and unoriginal to me. Twins share a deep connection already, there seems no need to try and tie them together even more by not coming up with one more middle name.
I know a family with three daughters, all about four or five years apart. Their names are Sharon Ann, Diana Lynn, and Holly Ann. I am fairly certain that if Diana didn't sound so silly with Ann as a mn, they'd have made it three of a kind.
