[Opinions] Amelie
I've been thinking about this name lately, but the pronounciation I found for it confuses me. This sight said a-may-lee (it also had the accent thing over the first e because it's French). I've only seen it without the accent, and it was pronounced am-ah-lee (am as in ham or sam). Which way would you pronounce it?? Keep in mind I live in the US, so I want to say it the way people would here. Thanks!

I love Amelie. It's correctly said ah-meh-LEE, but in the US you'd get AH-meh-lee or AH-muh-lee.
ah-may-lee. I live in the U.S.

I live in the U.S., I've always prn. it Ah-may-lee, and it's beautiful. However, if you like am-ah-lee, how about Amalie?
Here in the U.S., I would expect it to be pronounced, "AH-ma-lee." Like Emily, but an "ah" sound.

i would go with am-ah-lee (am as in ham or sam). I don't think people would have a problem with especially since the ever so popular movie Amelie!
I would say it a-may-lee I'm From Wales by the way so im not sure how everyone would say it in the US :0

I would pronounce it AM-ah-lee. I'm British, but I'm sure people in the US would pronounce it the same.
