So how do I rid myself of this accursed flu?

Try some Lemsip... dunno if you get it in America, but it's good stuff even if foul tasting.
I dont know if they get it in America either, I'm in Greece :) Thanks for the advise. Isnt Lemsip used to treat the mad cow disease?
With National Health or whatever they call it these days in the UK, you take what you can get and be grateful. Anything to keep you out of an 8-bed ward in Middlesbrough or Inverness...
My aunt in Edinburgh just had what they thought was a recurrence of breast cancer and the NH lot took 7 WEEKS to get back to her and tell her it was NOT malignant. By that time, she would gladly have settled for Mad Cow Disease, just to end the suspense.

An old Sicilian remedy...
...practiced by the followers of the goddess Aradia, right up to modern-day times, is simply this: Pour some sambucca into a cup of hot tea, and drink it while lying in a hot bath.
It may not actually cure the flu, but after a few cups, I promise you won't care anymore. ;)

THanks, thats just what the (witch)doctor ordered :) I'm short on Sambucca so Ill try Ouzo, the local version, instead.
