What do you think of the boy's name Emile (prn. ay-MEEL)? Here lately this has been one of my favorite boy's names.

That's odd. I replied to this post an hour ago but don't see it. Anyway, I really like Emile and Emil though I doubt Eric would agree to either.

I love it! It's one of my favorites, probably because it sounds similar to another favorite for a boy, Camille.

I think ay-meel is nicer than the French prononciation with the first "e" like in "bed".

I don't. I like the French pronunciation but stressing the ay makes it sound classless.
