Well, besides Cindy! I'm interested to hear what you might use as a nickname for Cynthia. I like nicknames to evolve organically from the child's name; I don't think that you have to have a planned nickname at birth, but I'd be interested to see what nicknames you might see stemming from Cynthia as a first name! Thanks!

I love Cynthia, nn Thia. I've also heard of Cinda, which I like much better than Cindy. I can't stand Cindy!

I have heard of Cynthia used as a nickname for Cynthia before. I like Thea / Thia as well. I don't think that Cynthia needs a nickname though.

I like Cina, but I think I might say it SIN-a, kind of like Sidda (who was Siddalee) in Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. With that in mind, I'm also intrigued by Yaya! Thanks!

The only nicknames in one of the books I have for Cynthia are:
Cindy, Cinda, Tia, Thea

It's not that I don't like Cindy; Cynthia was my husband's mother's name and she went by Cindy. Although we'd like to honor her, I'd like something that would give my future a bit of individuality within the family. Does that make sense? I like Cinda, even though I can't really say it without saying Cinda-relly!
Cynna is really quite intriguing, as is Tita. Thanks!

I think I would use Thia which I think is cute. I think she would probably get Cindy anyway knowing my family but it is possible I might also want to use Intha
