I love the name Amy. There've been lots of great bearers of the name...like yours truly. ;) My middle name is Rae, and I always liked it. It makes a great first name and a great middle name (so long as you don't spell it Aimee--ick!).
Any longer name, preferably not ending in an A sound, would work fine as a first name to Amy. The first thing that came to my mind was Josephine Amy, which of course is too themey, but is a good example of the sort of name I think you'd want to use.
