Alba is from the novel "The Time Traveller's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger.
Pet Adoption: Dean and Marla both grew up with several pets and they would like to see their kids having the same opportunity. They think children with pets are a happier, more lively and outgoing than those growing up in petless households. They believe that a dog would have a positive influence on their kids but also that a dog would be very happy in their family, as they plan to have many kids who will be taught by their parents to always take care of their little friend and play with him/her a lot. The Adams family owns a house with a big garden in a safe area with not too much traffic.
As baby Alba is Dean and Marla's first child they would love to have a puppy, so that their kids and the pet could grow up together but they wouldn't be sad to get an older dog either.
