[Facts] Re: Hazen
Hazen is a rare English surname. I can't find it in any of my written surname dictionaries, but I did find the following geneology site for the Hazen family which seems to have better references and research than most such sites. It explains that Hazen was probably originally a place name meaning "end of the hedge."http://www.angelfire.com/journal/pondlilymill/heisende.html

Thank you very much for that info. I had searched online but never found that page. It has been a family mystery as to where this name came from. Other descendents have been given family surnames over the years, so this would follow that pattern. I thank you again.
