[Opinions] Carl?
What do floks think of the name Carl? (I like it mostly for its association with Carl Friedrich Gauss.)

I love it.
Rather, I'm in love with it. I prefer Karl but what the heck, I'm not picky. I'm going through with Karl what I sometimes go through with Richard; any daydreamy fantasy about being swept off my feet by someone lately has been about a Karl or a Richard. It's just one of those names for me.

It’s all the same. What the hell good to you
is your native land after you’re dead? Whose
native land is it after you’re dead?

This is a really cool name! When I hear it, I think of a really good friend of our family, who is also an elder at our old church in Arkansas...
Carl is nice (I think of the poet Sandburg), though I prefer Karl on the whole. It's a neat choice for a name--hardly unheard of, but unlikely to be Karl S. I approve. :)
