[Opinions] Marionette?

Yes, I know it's a type of puppet, but do you think it could work as a feminine fn? I think it'd be cute. There are plenty of nns she could go by if she didn't like Marionette (Mary, Marion, Nettie, Marie, Arion, etc). Wdyt? Should I just stick to Mariette?

I would stick with Marian and Mariette, personally--but that's mostly because I don't like the O in Marionette at all. Marianette would win me over, ha, but people would assume you didn't know how to spell it (though clearly it could be Maria + Annette ;). Besides that, who wants to be a puppet on a string? Beautiful as marionettes are, I don't know that it bodes well for the child. :/ArrayETA: I should mention that I prefer Marietta to Mariette, which doesn't have quite the same verve, IMO. :)
