The popularity of this one is something I really can't understand. To me, it has an awful sound - slooooane - and of course there's the vulgar Sloane family in the Anne of Green Gables books. So for me, it's got absolutely nothing going for it.

I think you have to spell it with an "e"

Sloane... seems to finish it off to me. :) But otherwise I think it is cute, although a bit masculine for a girl. I was considering it for a middle name for a girl.
