Well, it's okay. I don't know anyone named this, personally, but I have heard of it. As bear said, I like the spelling Ailinn. I think it's okay either way.
I don't know anyone personally named Ailyn, but there certainly have been Hispanic girls born in the USA named Ailin and Ailyn the last few years.
Ailin, Ailinn, and Ailyn are simply ways to spell Eileen that represent the normal English pronunciation of the name (eye-leen) to speakers of Spanish and Portuguese.

Well, I adore the name Eileen.
I looked up Ailyn in my baby name book, From Aaron to Zoe. A lot of these books are very suspect on etymology, but this one is pretty good. It doesn't list Ailyn, but it does list Ailinn as a Portuguese variant of Helen (as is Eileen). I must say the Ailinn spelling looks much better to my eyes than Ailyn.
Do you know anyone who spells it Ailyn? It *looks* creative.
