Help[Opinions] Avery and Ariel as twins
I think that these names would make a great twin set.
When you read this, do you think of g/g, b/b, b/g or g/b? I think of g/b but that's just me.

Boys. Avery is very masculin to me. I like Ariel a lot for a boy, and if it wasn't for that stupid mermaid I could use it on my son.

Well, if you like it that much, go ahead and use it. I hear that alot of parents have named their sons Ariel, dispite the movie.

Even with the mermaid, I think it will still be a great choice for your son! There's plenty of other (male) Ariel namesakes to offset the mermaid association. Also, as of last year, while ranking at #214 for girls, Ariel ranked at #557 for boys on the U.S. charts, so it's still on the radar as a boy's name. I say that if you like Ariel for a boy, use it!

Though I'm not one for matchy twin names, I love Avery and Ariel as twins. At least it's not something like Jaden and Caden...horrors.
My first thought when I heard the names was b/g, but I guess it could be b/b. Not g/g though, because I really don't like Avery on a girl.

It does sound rather cute, Avery being a boy and Ariel being a girl. Anything else would be irratical.

I'd think they were a boy (Avery) and a girl (Ariel) first, simply because Ariel as a boy's name in the United States has never been as common as Ariel for a girl. However, I could see each of the names on either sex.
I don't like the set much--if they're one of each sex, it'll be confusing, and they're WAY too twinny for me. I like twin names that are similar, but not this similar. I think each name is fine on its own, though I wouldn't use either.

I think of b/b. Both were used on boys (in fact Ariel for thousands of years) long before they were used on girls.

Yes I have heard that Ariel that Shakespeare used that for his main spirit and sprite like creature in his play the tempest.

g/g, If I had g/g and a b/b, I would name mine Amy and Amelia, and Atreus and Andrew.
