I think Shelby is cute, but I'd never use it personally. I like the sound of Gunnar, but it makes me think of some guy on a roof top shooting at people.

Gunar and Shelby! I like it. I'm not a huge fan of names ending in I, but Shelby/Shelbi is the only name I like with an I at the end. So I perfer Shelby and Shelbi.
And I love Gunnar. A lot more than Shelbi/Shelby.
