what is a "thick l"? It sounds interesting...

Not sure if this is true of Finnish, but in English, think of the word "little". The two ls make different sounds, the first one being a "light l" and the second a "dark l" ... or I suppose a thick one.
My impression is that there's only one option in French - the light l. But I could be seriously wrong!
