[Opinions] Felix (and Jasper)
I was surprised, in the boy quint thread, how many times I saw the name Felix. Is this another favorite of mine that's a chart climber? I'd actually be happy to see this one get more exposure and be more popular though. It's such an awesome name, too easily dismissed by people with anti-cat bias (lol). I'd like to see that stigma fade, and have it become more of a normal name.
Also, I noticed two other people had both Felix and Jasper in their name set. I *almost* used Jasper too, but changed my 5th name to something else. For some reason, I do associate those two names with each other, but I don't know why.
If you like Felix, do you also like Jasper? If you dislike Felix, do you also dislike Jasper? Just curious.

I think both names are great.
I love Felix, in fact I used it in my boy quints. Jasper is alright, not a favourite but its growing on me! Felix and Jasper make a great set, as do Felix, Jasper and Milo. (I love Milo too!)
I know a Felix. I'm not sure how old he is but the sibset is:
Xanthe (10)- shes the oldest so the X is at the start of her name
Lexie (7 or 8?)- shes in the middle so the X is in the middle fo her name
Felix (???)- hes the youngest so the X is at the end of the name.
I'm not sue if the parents realised about the X theme at first, but I think its really cute! (Lexie pointed it out to me. I ahdn;t noticed that before) Anyway, point is I love Felix!

Felix and Jasper are two of my favorite names. We almost named our first son Jasper, and in fact told everyone that is what we were going to name him, but ended up going with Wesley. If we have another boy, we will most likely name him Jasper.
I also love Felix, but probably wouldn't use it because so many of my other favorites come before it, and I don't plan on having 12 kids.

My first son will be named Jasper and if we have another boy, it's possible his name would be Felix, but I love lots a boys names so it's not a sure thing.

I love both. I even made a post a few months ago asking if Miles, Felix and Jasper would be good for siblings! http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=410328&board=baby
I love those two together and I really don't know why. It's kind of like how I think Simon and Peter are perfect for brothers, and the same with Oliver and Sebastian.

Felix is similar to the popular Alex, Max, and Leo, imo, which may be why it's gaining some popularity. I don't see it as being a trendy hit terribly soon, though. Just a hip, retro, cool name on the backburner working it's way up slowly. :b
I think in the future Felix won't be so heavily connected to Felix the Cat so it's not a big worry. I don't automatically think "cat" but even if I did, I think I'd still like the name. :) And actually, I like Jasper even more. And I think Jasper and Felix would work wonderfully as brothers. Throw in Milo (if you can get past another cat reference) and you have a fab sibset, imo. :b

I love Felix and Leo. Additionally I love Tabitha and Elsa. Feline references galore in my favorite names. Not that I have any intention of having 4 kids, much less using those 4 names as a set.
I don't know the Milo or Jasper references. I haven't seen a Disney/cartoon movie since Little Mermaid, so if it's coming from there it's over my head. I think I just associate Jasper and Felix together because I started liking them around the same time and they have a similar quirky nerdy feel in my mind.

I don't think it's that bad...
I've never heard of a dog named Jasper, and I've heard of Milo and Otis but I associate Milo with the boy from The Phantom Tollbooth, so I don't immediately think of animals. I can see where someone would make that connection, but I don't see any reason to believe that she's not serious.

Agreed. Milo, Felix and Jasper would make an awesome sibset!
Although I dislike both names, they sound phenomenal together. :)
I like Jasper but loathe Felix, sorry.
