One of the reasons I like learning about names is because they make statements about the cultures they come from. For example, English speakers don't usually name sons after flowers. In Japan, it is more common. Aoi (Althea), Himawari (Sunflower), Renge (Lotus), and Shion (Aster) are unisex.
