[Surname] Bosnian Hadž- and -beg- surnames
Is it possible that the Bosnian surnames with the prefix hadž denote "hajj, pilgrimage," as in the surname Hadžić?
(Compared to the surnames Hadžiahmetović (Hajj Ahmet?), Hadžiefendić (Hajj Effendi?), Hadžimuhamedović (Hajj Muhamed?), and so on)
Also is it possible that the Bosnian surnames with the element beg be related to the Turkish element [*beg], as in the surname Begić?
(Compared to the surnames Šahbegović, Hadžihafizbegović, and so on)

The Bosnian word ‘hadž’ derives from an Arabic-origin Turkish Ottoman word which means hajj, so I guess you’re correct for this one. I couldn’t find anything related to ‘beg,’ though.
