Victoria herself was Alexandrina Victoria, not the other way round. Hercules Robert is hilarious, and Gustavus Hume not much less so. Montagu Lowther sounds like a distant cousin of Bertie Wooster. I like Hugh Morgan a lot, and would love to meet one.Evelyn is good but would become Eve: also good, Katrine? Quite nice, better than Katrina. No thoughts about Gwenfra.
I'd prefer Katharine Dorothea; dislike Sarah but it's OK I suppose as a mn.
My good friend Vickie is just that - Vickie! She said her parents would never have called her Victoria so they didn't use it. I'm relieved that she could never become a Tory - she is English. She says that when she was naughty at school, or at any time when there was bad news to be given, she would be called Victoria, usually from quite a distance, and she always ignored it because it wasn't her name, causing confusion.
I just can't warm up to Augusta. Anne Sophia flows better than Sophia Anne; maybe Anne Sophia Augusta would do, if it had to.
huh, I didn't know Queen Victoria's 1st name was Alexandrina! This Victoria was the 1st Duke Wellington's granddaughter; the queen was her godmother.
She was named after the Tsar of Russia - Alexander - for some reason. No doubt they were relatives.
