[Opinions] Names I’m surprised are ranked so low
These are the names I’ve found going through the 2022 England and Wales stats and I’m surprised aren’t higher. All of these are out of the top 600, but for a majority of them I’d expect them to be within them, or at least at a higher ranking than they are. Of course, this is purely subjective, but feel free to tell me which ones you like/dislike, as well as the ones you’d agree or disagree with! You can also tell me names (for any country’s data) that you’d expect to be ranked higher (not necessary that you like them, just that you’d think they’re more popular).

I think June, Juliet/Juliette, Silas and Emmett are getting ready for a jump on that list.
My opinions and guesses on why these names are rated so low.
Skyler (606) - Overused within the 2010 - 2015 "I want to name my baby something cool"
Elsa (624) - As of 2013, this became a Disney name, and then Disney parents started getting their hands on these names.
Tessa (624) - A good nickname, but as a first name, It just doesn't mesh well with most middle names
Sylvia (630) - It started to look like an old lady name, and people didn't really like it
Jade (638) - This name is really cute, and I'm really not sure if people felt it was Overused or not.
Sage (638) - A wonderful name, same confusion here for Jade.
Melina (655) - I never heard anyone with this name other than women much older than me, probably went out of style once the Melina's of the world started having their own kids.
Charlie (706) - This name is overused as a first name, and Charles started coming back and people started using it as a nn instead of a fn.
Louise (706) - A cute middle name, but not many people with this fn past 2005 or so.
Caitlin (718) - A cute one, but Kaitlyn became the more popular spelling
Shiloh (718) - This name is a classic, but I'm not sure how this got such a low ranking
Samantha (729) - Samantha is such a cutie, not sure what happened here.
Vera (729) - Was always a bit of a non-traditional mn and wasn't often used as a fn
Juliette (746) - Juliet with more oomph to it. This got overused within 2008-2014
Juliet (775) Same as Juliette
Kate (775) - Overused 80s/90s name that went out of style in the early 2000s
June (809) - People just forgot to use this name
Natasha (809) - People just stopped liking this name after a while. Got dropped some time between 1990-2000
Alanna (826) - Got dropped as soon as it's variation Alona/Alonna became more popular in the 2010s
Lauren (857) - People who still like this name don't get how dated it is. Lauren got dropped primarily in 2008 back when 2010s baby names were cooking
Willa (857) - Nobody was bold enough to name their baby this for a really long time

Some, at least, look like spelling variations: Steven being lower than the more standard Stephen, for instance. And Alanna, not Alannah.
I like these ones: Tessa, Sylvia, Louise, Juliet; Ian, Stephen but not Steven.
