[Opinions] Re: Jolene...usable?
Double the singing because there's a newer song named Jolene by some band whose name escapes me.
But it's not uncommon right now, probably due to the popularity of the newer song.
A little Layla would probably get sung at even more, and that hasn't stopped it from being extremely popular. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

I don’t know a song called Layla, actually. But Valerie would probably have a similar problem.

you're kidding, right? You never heard the song "Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes, who is actually Eric Clapton?
It's one of the most iconic rock songs in the world.
I've never heard of it either lmao But I think its because from the 70s, I'm more into my British glam rock, soul and disco
I didn't think I was familiar with that song either so I checked on YouTube. Well I am familiar with the basic tune in the chorus I was unfamiliar with the whole of the song nor the title, no.
I must admit that I had lived most of my life never hearing that song. Somehow it just never came up, my parents and friends just didn't care about Clapton when I was growing up, I guess. I know it now though. One of my friends actually had Layla picked out for her second kid because of the song, but it turned out to be a boy.

OT but I'm still obsessed with the Glee version of Valerie. RIP Ms. Naya 🕊
