[Opinions] Re: Lucette,Lucina and Lucyna
in reply to a message by )(
I find them all over-ornate and needlessly complicated. Lucette is fine in French, where I believe it is more likely to be a nn than an independent name. Lucyna is a variant of Lucina, I suppose; some people find the letter y a feminine marker. Since Lucina was the goddess of childbirth, I'd have thought she was feminine enough already; if Lucy is too ordinary, there's always Lucia or Lucinda. I'd use Lucy at the drop of a hat, and the others, not at all.

Lucyna is the Polish version of Lucina. I don't lie the y myself.
