[Games] AnonymousNameNerd's NTNB #3 - Part 1
Hi! I thought I would go ahead and try one of these again, since I've seen a lot of NTNBs lately and they have inspired me, haha! I'm not sure if anyone remembers the last one I did, but I think I am going to switch up the format this time, so instead of doing just one family with several years in between each round, it will be a few families with less years in between.᠃ ⚘᠂ ⚘ ˚ ⚘ ᠂ ⚘ ᠃*The Year is 1974*Family One - San Francisco, CADH [B. 1947, 27]:
DW [B. 1949, 25]:DH and DW met at a close friends wedding a few years ago, and immediately hit it off. DH, of Turkish descent, moved from Izmir to San Francisco as a child and is now a passionate marine biologist working all along the pacific coast. DW, a San Francisco native, is a dedicated photojournalist who works tirelessly to capture the essence of her beloved city in the 1970s. However, DH's long research expeditions and DW's commitment to chasing stories at all hours of the day has created a significant emotional distance between the two. DH often feels torn between his love for the ocean and his commitment to DW, and DW struggles with the loneliness brought on by DH's absences. Even their friends have noticed this growing rift in their relationship, but have yet to say anything. Despite these challenges, both hope they can overcome this hurdle and rekindle the closeness they once had in their relationship. DH has a Turkish name that also works to be pronounced in English. His MN has a virtue meaning behind it (i.e trust, strength, joy). His LN is Turkish.
DW has a double barrel name. Her MN is from this list https://nameberry.com/list/248/old-lady-names/all. Her LN is Irish or Scottish. ᠃ ⚘᠂ ⚘ ˚ ⚘ ᠂ ⚘ ᠃Family Two - Bergen, NorwayDBF [B. 1946, 22]:
DGF [B. 1946, 22]:DBF and DGF met as children, both being from the same small town, and grew up together as close friends. However, after DGF's family moved to the city of Bergen when she was 12, the two friends slowly lost touch. However, three years ago they, quite literally, ran into each other while rushing to their classes at the University of Bergen. Coincidentally, they had both decided to attend the the same university. Their friendship immediately resumed as if no time had passed, and by their second year of university it was clear that both of them wanted more than just friendship. Fast forward to this year, DBF has a plan to propose to DGF during their vacation to France this fall. Work wise, DBF plans to become architect, while DGF wants to attend nursing school to become a nurse. DBF's FN contains an "ø' somewhere in it. His MN is Norwegian and more commonly used as a nickname. His LN is from this list https://www.routesnorth.com/norway/norwegian-last-names-a-simple-guide/. DGF's FN is from this list: https://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/norway/1946, and begins with a vowel. Her MN is from the same list, but begins with a consonant. Her LN is a more rare Norwegian surname, that is on the longer side. ᠃ ⚘᠂ ⚘ ˚ ⚘ ᠂ ⚘ ᠃Family Three - Manchester, EnglandDH [B. 1939, 35]:
DW [B. 1950, 24]: DH and DW met at the library that DH had opened after university. DW was searching for a book that DH happened to have recently read, which led to an in-depth conversation surrounding their favorite authors and genres. The pair soon discovered their shared passion for musical instruments, with DW playing the cello, and DH playing the piano. Following this encounter, DW began to frequent the library more often in hopes of seeing DH again, and after another week of visits and more captivating conversations, DH asked DW out on a date. Now, despite some skepticism from friends over their age gap, they are happily married and living in a lovely cottage just outside of Manchester. DH's library is still thriving, and DW is working as a private cello teacher, but has hopes of becoming a secondary school orchestra director in the future. However, there has been some conflict between the two concerning the idea of children. DH has wanted kids for quite some time now, however DW wants to get her career more under way before having children. DH's FN is a rare(ish) old fashioned English name. His MN is shared with a popular literary figure. His LN is shared with a lesser known literary figure.
DW's FN is a long English name, but is shortened with a nickname. Her MN is nature related, and her LN is a short english surname.᠃ ⚘᠂ ⚘ ˚ ⚘ ᠂ ⚘ ᠃
