[Opinions] Alternative for ‘Skye’?
I made a post months ago about getting a ragdoll cat. At this time, we thought it was a female. We ended up getting a boy. And not one, but two. Disaster, since I loved so many of the girls names suggested.
Their names are Skye and Saffron (from previous owner) and we decided to keep them. I’ve nicknamed Saffron Ronnie/Ron and since his name is already elaborate, this was quite easy.
For Skye however, I haven’t really got anything I like. Is there a more elaborate name that sounds like Skye, as if Skye is a nickname for it, that maybe has more room for nicknames?
For example, Ellie (nickname for Aurelie) or Val (nick for Valerius)
Is there something more elaborate like this that can be done for Skye?
Thanks to all who answer!

Schuyler
Scaevola
a combination name: [name you like or title ending in S] + name beginning with (or containing) Kai/Gai sound (Caius, Gaius, Caio, Gaizka, Kaiser, Kyle, Kylo, Cairo ...)
ex: Marcus Gaius, Lucas Caio, Silas Malachi, Prince Cairo
Zacharias - it's a little stretch, but it could be contracted to Sky if you want. Since it's a cat.

My favourite answer for sure - I really love the combi name idea, hadn’t thought of that. Gaizka is definitely a winner even on its own, I think I’ll use that.

Kai would be good too
I would just use Sky. It's a common word, everyone can spell it, and it's a unisex name. I've met humans of all genders with names like Sky, Skye, Skyler, Skylar, etc.
Skyelar
All I can think of is Skype!
Kai
Kyle, Schuyler, Malachi
Adding Cairo, Guy, Lyle, Mikey, Silas?

Skyler is fairly unisex
