Both are fine names but I prefer Eleanor to Elena (Helena is my preference for this name).
Eleanor pronunciation - "EHL-uh-nor".
Elena pronunciation - I like "EH-leh-na" which is the Italian pronunciation. "Eh-LEH-na" is the Spanish. They just emphasize either the first syllable or the second.
