The Penguin book of baby names by David Pickering is a good one it's a little outdated but it is a good book.
Thank you for the suggestion! I think I saw that one on Thriftbooks.com I will definitely check into it.
No help, but maybe someone here will know. I used to have this beautiful red book about literary names that I seem to have lost. Does any one have or know this book?

Wow! It's very nice of you to provide this list! It's an interesting, diverse collection of titles. I'll be looking into purchasing them.
