[Opinions] Re: Do you like your name?
in reply to a message by KK
I like my name now. I have come to appreciate it, because it's part of me and it does have a vintage quality to it.
But as a kid, I have wished sometimes I could have had another name. It seemed like all the adults (lunch lady, camp counselor, etc.) could never remember my actual name and ended up calling me other things that were similar. It was so annoying. Not to mention as a teen I ended up being teased because of my name. It didn't happen a lot (I mean I got bullied bad, but not often because of my name), but it's still something you feel shitty about when someone teases you for your name. Talk about something you have no control over.
