I'm very grateful for my fn: my dad wanted me to be Sarah Anne after his late mother, but my mother had a delivery-room inspiration to replace Sarah, and he would probably have agreed to anything at that moment. So, I got a name I like; I dislike most of the nns, but people get the message eventually. My name also became more popular a couple of years after I was born, so for what it's worth, people sometimes assume I'm younger than I am. I wouldn't have minded being Sally, rather than Sarah, which I really don't like, but they didn't think of it.
