I like Alcide, but not Alcida.
Peculiar.
Alcida is more appealing to me because it doesn't visually remind me of -cide words, and just sounds namier. But it's still peculiar. A little too much like al-Qaeda, maybe.
If I heard it out loud but didn't see it spelled, and it was unfamiliar, I might guess that Alcide was a male Arabic name.

Don't like either
If Alcide were female, I'd prefer its sound and rhythm. Since it isn't, I'll have to go for Alcida, which doesn't matter much since it's a potential mn.
