Héloïse! This name is great, I love it a lot.
1. Mathilde, number 1 for sure. Classic french name and has stood the test of time. One of my personal tops too.2. Héloïse. I know it's rare, but it's my favorite spelling. The name looks more complete that way. And it reminds me of the medieval writer and her lover Pierre Abélard. 3. Astrid. Lovely name of scandinavian origin, but works in a lot of language.4. Bérénice. It's really the only one on that list that I don't care for. I don't know why, the name reminds me of the words ''bergère'' and ''nourrice'', as if they were merged together. Maybe my brain works in strange ways, but it's a no from me.
Astrid. 2nd choice Mathilde. I like those. The multiple accent marks aren't my thing (I don't even know how to type them using my keyboard; they might as well be Arabic script).
ETA: I didn't realize it was the French pronunciation of Astrid (I prefer the English/Swedish/German pronunciation or Astrud; the French feels unfamiliar/awkward in comparison). I'd go with Mathilde over that (which I intuitively pronounce as French)...and then Bérénice 2nd, because I pronounce that basically the French way even without accent marks, and I do like the sound/look.

Astrid. If Matilda was an option, it would’ve been my pick.
Astrid. I don't much enjoy French names in English; Astrid is established. If we only looked at English forms, I'd prefer Eloise.
The French pronunciation is implied. ass-TREED.
In which case, I'd just not have responded. I have no context for French names, and so I really can't comment.
Astrid. Elegant, sweet and down-to-earth.
Bérénice, followed very closely by Mathilde and Héloïse. I've never understood Astrid's appeal, especially up against Ingrid and Sigrid.
I think Astrid reminds people of space related words/concepts the way Nova and Luna do. It has a new agey sci-fi type of appeal on one level that Sigrid and Ingrid don't (yet seems traditional), and it sounds similar to Aspen also, which has been rising.(I prefer Sigrid, though I do like Astrid.)

Astrid for sure, pretty
Héloise, though Mathilde is pleasant as well.
