The year is 1970. This lovely couple have just gotten married in the groom's hometown of Silvercrest in Canada and had a short honeymoon in Italy. They may not have a lot of money, but they certainly have lots of love.

The groom was born in Canada in 1943 to the owners of the local grocery store chain, Silver Star Market. A devout family man, he tries to visit his parents often. He learned to cook from his mom and loves playing boards games like his dad. He is also interested in computers, though he could never afford one. In 1961 he started at Silvercrest College were he earned a degree in mechanical engineering and met his future wife. He currently works as a construction worker.

The bride was born in the Netherlands in 1945, and moved to Canada as an exchange student at 19. After meeting her future husband, she decided to fully enroll in Silvercrest College after her time in the exchange program was up. Although she sometimes misses home, especially her little sister, she is happy to be in Canada if it means she is with her husband. She is passionate about gardening, and keeps a large array of flowers in her and her husband's apartment. She also loves horseback riding, having started riding lessons at a young age, and dreams of one day owning a horse. She currently works as a tailor.
