[Opinions] Make me love or hate these: day 3

Replies

Louise - classy, understated elegance. Keep.
Rooney (f) - unpleasent, grating, unredemable. Ditch.
Gregory - quietly charming, quietly handsome. Keep
Titus - uptight, more a character than person. Ditch.
Ren (m) - meh, not much either way.
Tara - pronounced tah-ra love, pronounced tear-ah dislike, too whiney.
Louise- a very pretty and simple name.
Rooney - not very feminine and not particularly manly on a guy either. It just sounds like a last name.
Gregory - kind of stuck up-sounding. There are better old-fashioned or classic names.
Titus- its strange to name a child this in real life. I can only think of a god.
Ren - I like that Asian Pacific Islander names with nature or love meanings can be unisex. I would love to see Ren on a guy in real life.
Tara - its pretty and not overdone. Fit for a warrior or a bookworm. A lot of range.
A god?
Louise - pleasant and low-key; better than Louisa
Rooney (f) - quite frankly, looney. Or loony. A very bad idea.
Gregory - nice enough; I dated a pleasant one for a while. I prefer Gregor: shorter and snappier and less Catholic.
Titus - I only think of a line from a very vintage detective novel: the characters are theatre people at a party, and one of them has been drinking too much. Another one murmurs to a friend "If So-and-So has one more brandy, he'll be Titus Andronicus"!
Ren (m) - no doubt OK in its natural habitat. Where I live, in one of the local languages it means 'race': perdewetren = horse race.
Tara - The harp that once through Tara's halls the soul of music shed ... and then there's GWTW. Not my scene at all.
Louise, is lovely
Rooney doesn't sound good especially for a girl
Gregory is dated
Titus is ok
Ren is insubstantial and doesn't sound good
Tara is lovely
Louise- a classic, and a feminisation of Louis which is a classy european name.Rooney- don't like it. too reminiscent of Wayne Rooney.Gregory- yes, it's heavy, clerical, and a bit russian, but it's a genuine classic.Titus- while it has negative historic conotations (to me, as a jew), it sounds strong. I imagine a burly Yoruba man when I hear this.Ren- MC Ren of N.W.A?Tara- pretty cool.
Louise - Louisa is much better. Rooney - Bad for a boy even worse for a girl. Gregory - Dated to someone born in the 50s or 60s. Titus - No opinion. Ren - Ren and Stimpy comes to mind. Tara - I like it pronounced TARE uh or TAHR uh.
Louise - whiny, stuck-up sound.
Rooney - too surnamey, not for a girl, and not a pleasant sound.
Gregory - I’m not a huge fan of G or O sounds in names, so I think this name is ugly.
Titus - I don’t really have an opinion on this one.
Ren - I see this as unisex, but it’s alright.
Tara - absolutely lovely name!
Louise - Solid classic, not too popular
Rooney - Leaves sort of a sour taste in my mouth
Gregory - Another solid classic, has not yet been condemned to "old people" territory
Titus - It makes more sense for a character
Ren - Short and sweet, I love it
Tara - Familiar and extremely versatile
