I really strongly dislike it, I don't think it looks or sounds pleasant in the slightest. It seems made-up but also really harsh and not euphonic. It sounds like a word but... isn't a word. It doesn't have any cute nicknames that some made-up trendy-seeming names seemed designed purely to have. The y seems weird. So many reasons...Also there's a Turkish horror film that had its moment of fame a few years back called Baskin which seems like a weird gory fever-dream surreal vision-of-hell of a film, that's my main association and it's not one I'd want associated with my name tbh (and I like horror). The original Turkish #baskın# means "surprise attack" or something, which isn't a good meaning either tbh.
I do not like the sound, spelling or association for that child. However, my guilty pleasures are food names that work as cute NNs, like Peanut, Nutmeg, Pepper, Ginger, Honey, Cocoa, etc. Vanilla is kind of pretty. I would have considered those as NNs before Baskyn as a legal name. Why not Robbins or Robin? Robbins could be a surname-first name. It lends itself to Rob and Robby. And then Robin on its own is a nice name.
Baskyn Robbyns
How do you even come up with that? Like, It doesnt sound cute or anything...it's just ugly.
Baskyn in the sun? Genuinely silly.
It reminds me of Carole Baskin, other than Baskin-Robbins ice cream. Someone hated Tiger King or loved ice cream, I'm guessing!ETA: Not a fan, sorry.

Ridiculous
Reminds me a bit of Bhaskar, but not as good.
