If I was a boy, they were going to name me Ryan Michael. If my mom had her way, I would have been named Emily or Dakota. If my dad had his way, I would have been named Ripley. They compromised with Rachael.

Rachael is my favorite spelling! I know Rachel is the most common, but to me it has always looked like it's missing something.

Thanks. They spelled it that way because they wanted it to look like Michael. I agree, it is the best spelling. :)

I was almost named Alice after my aunt and godmother but it was used in the middle spot instead.
