Is it bad that I thought both of these were girls names?
Either way I choose Hartley. Hedley doesn’t sound very namey.

Hedley reminds me of the character Hedley Lamarr from the movie Blazing Saddles. Hedley gets irritated when his name is confused with the actress (and inventor!) Hedy Lamarr throughout the movie.

I can't. Both are absolutely horrendous, but Hedley is the worst of the pair.

I'm not a fan of either one but if I had to choose it would be Hartley. However, I do prefer just Hart for a boy.

Hm, I think I'd go with Hartley over Hart, but I don't really care for any of these names, to be honest.
