I don't like that argument either... I mean yes, some people are awful and will not hire you upon reading your name, but if they have common sense they will give you the benefit of the doubt.

I am not fond of Kinsley because I just see it as Kenzie or Kinley but not as good as either of them.
I do like January because its unique. It makes me think of snow and new beginnings, with it being the first month of the year.

My mom's younger brother was almost named January (masculine name in Polish, form of Januarius).

I love the idea of January as a name, it's a pretty sound. And the whole Janus connection is very cool. Too bad I find the month itself dreadful! It's my fault for living where I do, I guess. I should find the land of pleasant January.

I'm excited to hear of a doctor called Kinsley. I'm using the name in a story, but wasn't sure if it worked on someone older than 12. Dr. Kinsley reassures me it can! A doctor has to be at least like, 25, right??

I don’t like January but it’s a respectable name. Kinsley less so (kind of childish), but I wouldn’t think less of the doctor for it.

I find January and its relatives (e.g., Gennaro and Janvier) very charming.

I agree that the debate is very silly, because names have nothing to do with someone's personality. This being said, I dislike both January and Kinsley as names at all.

Most adults don't call their doctors Dr. Firstname.
