[Opinions] Re: Wdyt of Lyca?

Is it pronounced Lye-kuh?
I think it's cute pronounced like that.. and it sounds more like a boys name than a girls name.
I have no idea what it means. I looked it up and I just got the same results as you.

I pronounce it LIE-kuh as well. That's right as far as I know.
I had the same pronunciation question
LYEkah, or LEEkah? I'd much prefer the former. I know Array mentioned Lycra, but my knee-jerk reference was perhaps weirder. I immediately thought "lycan," as in lycanthrope, like werewolf, like in Underworld. Odd thing to think of, y'think?
Anyway, looks like LYEkah to me, and I could see it on a girl. I prefer Lyra (LEErah) though.

ditto..
I instantly thought of Kate Beckinsale voicing the word "lycan."
So Lyca seems vampy / gothy to me. I kinda like it, but I'm lukewarm for real life - because of the "like a" thing (say her surname is Smith. Her self introduction sounds like "Hi! I'm like, a Smith!").
