[Opinions] If you had a girl in the 1950s, what would you name her?
I think I'd name her Denise.

Whoaaaa, I love that!! I'm going to have to make a bigger list like that as well!
Beverley. I hope this name makes a comeback.
This is so hard, because I can see into the future. Immediately I thought "Helen!" But Helen was already becoming old fashioned by the 50s, wasn't it?
If I was a time traveler enjoying some midcentury tourism, I'd pick Helen, Roberta, Vivian, Rosemary, Or Veronica maybe?
If I was actually a person born in the 1930s, though, would I like those names??
My grandma always wished she could have named my aunt "Roxanne" but she was talked out of it. So I'd name my 1950s baby..... Roxanne Rita.

Rose or Daisy.
So many lovely ones! I'm using a UK list; our naming habits were largely British until, in the mid-1970s, we finally got TV and with it, exposure to all things American.
Pamela Margaret? Rosemary Jennifer? Gillian Shirley?

That's actually really interesting. That makes me realize the names I dislike are ones with British influence.
Constance or Sherri
Bonnie
Interesting! I just noticed that name is making a comeback.
I think I would name her Ellen. Or similar to you, Denise.
