I like Wendy a lot in theory. It should feel warm and earthy and quirky. Unfortunately it's ruined for me because I had a particularly cruel childhood bully named Wendy. Sadly, no matter how many lovely Wendys I meet I can't shake the association.

I LOVE Wendy. I like it as a nickname for Wendell too...that's a guilty pleasure of mine. I also like it spelled Windy because it reminds me of autumn. :3

Typically I'd associate it more with Peter Pan so overall, I find it pleasant enough. Especially as a nickname for the more heavy Gwendolyn or the like.

Not really. Prefer Gwendolen (and if it must have a nickname - Gwen). Wendy is a friendly name, though seems a little 60s/70s?
