It looks nice, but yes it would be misread as Maria, Moira, and other names. That's not a dealbreaker though. Lots of names get mixed up and you just have to correct people. Marie and Mara also probably get read as Maria and that doesn't stop people from using those names.

I glanced at this and misread it as Mira, so I'm going to say yes, lol.

I teach a handful of students called Maira and it isn't a big deal. It's no different from someone hypothetically confusing Jane with Jade or Julie with Julia.
